2. Modern Immersion Treatment Techniques:

Modern immersion treatment techniques have been developed to address the limitations of traditional methods. The process begins by heating a grinding wheel to a temperature of 140-150°C. The heated wheel is then immersed in a molten solution of agents heated to 130-135°C. The wheel is rotated at a pulsating speed, gradually decreasing from 2.8 rotations per second to a complete stop over four minutes. This meticulous process ensures the uniform penetration of all the agent components throughout the grinding wheel.

Upon removal from the molten solution, the wheel is spun to discard the excess impregnating agent. The wheel is then left to air for 1-1.5 hours. Following this standardized procedure eliminates the formation of nodules during dressing on diamond surfaces, prevents clogging during grinding, and minimizes the risk of burn marks on the surface being ground.

Immersion treatment is vital in optimizing the grinding performance of abrasive tools such as louvers, thousand-leaf wheels, and grinding wheels. While traditional methods have inherent drawbacks, modern immersion techniques offer significant improvements.
